As part of Beeco’s activities on
inclusion and awareness, our pediatric audiologist presented an interactive
session for students with disabilities on hearing loss and prevention to engage
and educate.
During the session, we covered key topics such as the causes of hearing
loss, the importance of early detection, and effective prevention strategies.
We also included interactive elements like demonstrations of hearing tests,
discussions about protective measures (like using earplugs in noisy
environments), and showcasing assistive technologies that can aid those with
hearing impairments.
We encouraged participants to share their experiences and ask questions,
fostering a sense of community and support. This kind of interaction not only
empowers students to take charge of their hearing health but also helps dispel
myths and reduce stigma around disabilities.
Overall, the session likely played a significant role in raising awareness
and providing practical information, making a positive impact on the students'
understanding of hearing loss and its prevention!
